April is National Poetry Month, the perfect time to remind students that poetry isn’t just something found in textbooks—it’s alive in stories, emotions, and even movies. One of the best ways to make poetry feel accessible (and engaging!) is through film.
Movies that center around poetry often explore identity, voice, creativity, and the power of words—making them a meaningful addition to your classroom or even a cozy at-home watch.
Below is a list of PG-13 and under films that beautifully highlight poetry and its impact.\
